What is worship?
Worship is the recognition of the worth and dignity of the true God and our response in adoration as His creature.
There are many ways to worship God. Some of the ways we worship Him are through prayer, praise, singing and reading the Bible. The Bible tells us in John 4:24 that “God is Spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and truth.” True worship comes out of a heart that has been transformed and filled by Him and what has been done for you. Real worship can’t help but express true gratitude through the everyday life.
Worship is a vital part of what we do at Lakeside.
The Lakeside Praise Team is an auditioned small group consisting of sopranos, altos, tenors, and worship leader. The primary function of the praise team is to serve as worship leaders and vocal models for the congregation and during worship services. Therefore, musical preparation is a vital aspect of this ministry. The Praise Team rehearses on Wednesday evenings at 6:30pm in the Sanctuary and on Sunday morning at 8:30am (band) and 9:15am (praise team).
At Lakeside, we consider our Praise Team to be vital to the future of our church and its worship. If you are interested in trying out for the Praise Team (male and female vocalists welcome), please call the church office at 863-687-2294 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
